Patience was
born hearing but at the age of 1 she become deaf. She lives in the village with
her grandmother. Her mother was only 15 when she gave birth to her, her mother
went back to school now.
Her father
doesn’t want to know anything about her because she is deaf. When the father
learned that the child was deaf he never came back to see her again. Her mother,
who is now a student, and takes care of her needs at her grandmother’s place.
Patience ran and cried when we where trying to take her picture. She totally
refused to look at the camera with great fear, this is all because of the
isolation and loneliness deaf children face. But she finally allowed us to take
her picture. Perinah, her mother, is different from other parents of the deaf,
she loves her child very much.
Patience’s
glorious future is possible, I call upon you, a company, organization, or
