Florence was born
deaf, both of her parents are living but they
don’t want to associate with her. They abandoned
her and said that she is a shame to them. She is
staying with her grandfather, an elderly single
man who is good to her.
Florence is a
child in our school doing well and happy, she is
changed by the love and care she receives. It
was a very had work to convince her old
grandfather that she can go to school and study.
It took days of going to her home just to ask
her grandfather to let her come to school. He
refused because he felt that no one could love
and understand his granddaughter. Florence is a
good girl always happy and loves her studies.
She is indeed changed and having a new life now.
Her sign language is now good and she can
communicate well. Her dream is to become a
teacher she says.
